Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I have pets with an alarm?
Yes! With modern pet sensitive motion sensors, you can secure your home in the knowledge that your pets can roam throughout your property.
  • Why Do I Need Professional Installation?
YES! Only a professional can provide an objective analysis of your home, making sure that your system and components will be installed correctly and backing the installation with a One Year Warranty on Parts and Labor.
  • Can I set certain areas of my property?
With the programmable control panels we install, you are able to specify certain areas to be alarmed. For instance, if you have a two storey property and would like the downstairs secured overnight whilst you sleep upstairs, this can all be programmed for ease of use with the keypad.
  • Can I have a wireless option?
Our alarms have the ability to be hard wired or wireless or even a combination of both.
  • Does a home alarm system really reduce my chance of being burglarized?
Yes! Studies have shown that homes with alarms in them are 3 to 4 times less likely of being burglarized. Burglars look for places without home alarm systems because it's easier and they have less chance of being caught.
  • Can I expand my alarm system later?
Yes. In most cases your alarm system has the ability to be expanded at a later date. If you are thinking about expanding your alarm at a later date, please discuss this during your assessment.
  • If the power goes off, will my alarms continue to work?
Yes. Should you experience an unexpected power failure, your alarms will continue to function perfectly due to the back up battery that is supplied within the control panel.
  • I am building in stages; can my house be pre-wired first?
Yes. Pre- Wiring can be part of the installation process, however for many single story properties this is no always required
  • Why should I test my home alarm system regularly?
You should test your home alarms  at least once a month, preferably once a week. This ensures that everything is working properly in case of an actual emergency. If there ever is a problem that occurs during a test you then can get it fixed before is becomes a serious home alarms issue.
