• Will my gate motor still work if there is a power failure?
  Yes! Due to the security and electricity circumstances in South Africa Security only installs gate motors with battery back-ups.
• Do I Need Professional Installation?
  YES! Only a professional can provide an objective analysis of your entry/exit fixtures, making sure that your system and components will be installed correctly and function correctly.
• For pedestrians I only want the gate to open a short distance, is this possible?
  Yes! Securit can program your gate motor to open only a certain distance preventing vehicles from entering and having your gate open for the minimum of time.
• Can I have link multiple remote controls to the gate motor?
  Yes! Securit will install and program as many remote controls as necessary for your premises or business.
• Does Securit supply and program new remote controls for existing systems?
  Yes! For new staff or family members Securit can supply and program any make of remote control
• Is there a way that I can tell if the gate is opening from inside the house?
  Yes. With certain gate motors there is a function which allows a LED to be connected, which we install inside the house typically on the intercom unit, which alerts you to the fact that your gate is opening, wide open or closing.
• How many codes can be programmed into a keypad unit?
  1000!
• Is it possible to supply a code for the keypad which has limited number of access?
  Yes. The keypads offer an option for the number of applications so this is fully programmable.
• Can I delete user codes from a keypad module should I wish to restrict access later on?
  Yes! All codes are controllable from the master code and codes can be added or removed with the least effort.
• Can a gate motor work with a remote control and a keypad unit?
  Yes. Both of these can be wired into the gate motor to provide a diverse security solution.
